About Jeffrey Siu

Jeffrey Siu has been involved in photography since childhood. With over 30 years of experience in photography, it is easy to see his ability to communicate skills with his camera makes everyone feel at ease; this is displayed throughout Jeffrey’s portfolio which includes: portraits, family groupings, wedding receptions, and special events with groups from twenty to two thousand.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jeffrey Siu’s background in art began as early as elementary school. He continued his studies in Fine Arts & Graphics , and graduated at the Hong Kong University Extra Mural Studies program. Additionally, Jeffery has trained with world-class master photographers’ workshop in Spain, England and Beijing.

The Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition selected winner of many prestigious awards from several competitions in Hong Kong, Jeffrey’s art in 1974 and 1992. The same selected pieces were exhibited at the Hong Kong Art Museum and the Palace Museum in Taiwan through on the same years.

Since the early 1980’s, Jeffrey has had a passion for teaching. He first taught basic painting and expanded his passion for teaching to photography, teaching to both small and large groups, amateur and professional alike. From 1990 to 2008, many of his students have achieved awards from competitions in Hong Kong. Furthermore, his reputation as a skilled instructor has led to many invitations to lecture at the First Institute of Art and Design and several other art institutes.
